(Atlantic) Atlantic is the host site for Saturday’s 2022 Hawkeye Ten Conference Wrestling Tournament. Creston topped the field in 2021 with 275.5 points, Clarinda finished second with 185, Atlantic/CAM, third, 182.5, and Glenwood finished fourth with 177-points.
Atlantic/CAM Head Coach Tim Duff is looking forward to hosting the tournament.
Creston claimed the Hawkeye Ten conference Dual Conference Title with a 10-0 record. Atlantic/CAM finished second at 9-1. Creston defeated the Trojans in a dual meet on December 9. Since then, Atlantic/CAM has closed the gap on the Panthers in a couple of Tournaments, most recently, the John J. Harris Tournament this past weekend. The two traded leads multiple times over the two-day tournament, with the Panthers winning the team title by a narrow margin, 212-210.
Coach Duff extends a thank you to everyone who makes this tournament run.
Seven returning champions return to the tournament, including; Vincent Mayberry, Glenwood, Luke Freund, Harlan, Triston Barncastle, Creston, Shea Parkis, Kuemper, Dawson Bond, Red Oak, Kaden Bolton, Creston, Brayton Kammrad, Lewis Central, and Logan Green of Clarinda.
