(Guthrie Co.) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors this morning discussed the County becoming a Second Amendment Sanctuary.
County Attorney Brenna Bird said if the Supervisors passed a resolution it would show that the County supports the Second Amendment. She said they don’t have a way as a County to change what the Federal Government is doing, but she thinks that the more counties that take a stand means something. Bird told the Supervisors it is up to them to decide if they want to become a Second Amendment Sanctuary, but she would certainly support it.
The Supervisors asked Sheriff Marty Arganbright if he agreed with this and he said yes, he agrees with the Second Amendment rights and echoed what Brenna Bird had stated.
The Supervisors will put a resolution on the next agenda to take official action.
