(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors discussed a request to become a Second Amendment County at their meeting Wednesday morning. The Board was presented with a sample resolution from Hardin County who became a Second Amendment County this year.
Supervisor John Twombly said he was approached by three individuals who felt the County should pass a similar resolution and they wanted to know his feelings on it.
Twombly said most people are worried about a Federal law being passed that would infringe on their constitutional right to keep and bear arms and a Second Amendment resolution would protect the County.
The Supervisors approved a motion that they acknowledged this request but at this time they are not going to take any action. The motion passed with John Twombly the only Supervisor voting nay.
