(Des Moines) The National Weather Service is forecasting possible severe thunderstorm activity across the northern half of Iowa today.
Jeff Zogg with the National Weather Service in Des Moines says the northern half of the state is under an enhanced risk for severe weather.
Zogg says southwest Iowa is under a slight risk for severe storms later this afternoon into this evening.
Forecasters say non-severe scattered thunderstorms are possible again on Thursday.
