(Council Bluffs) Council Bluffs residents and interstate travelers will soon notice construction activities beginning near the Interstate-29/I-480/West Broadway System Interchange.
The Iowa DOT says in a news release there will be planned closures occurring as soon as Sunday, April 4th.
At 9:00 p.m. Sunday (4/4), I-29 Southbound will be closed temporarily between 16th Street and 25th Street. It will re-open at 6:00 a.m.
A temporary closure of the I-29 southbound ramps onto 9th Avenue and Nebraska Avenue will take place from 10:00 p.m. on Monday (4/5), until 6:00 the following morning.
On Tuesday (4/6), and Wednesday (4/7), Nebraska Avenue will be closed between the interstate ramps from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
On Monday (4/5), 37th Street between 2nd and 9th Avenues will be closing at 6:00 a.m. Access will be maintained at Dodge Riverside Drive and 2nd Avenue.
On Wednesday (4/7), the contractor anticipates closing Service Road B, between 9th and 2nd Avenues at 6:00 a.m. Access will be maintained at 35th Street.
Nearby residents and local traffic should plan ahead and utilize an alternate route Access will re-open later this year once the new frontage road system has been constructed.
