(Fremont Co.) One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Fremont County Wednesday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says a 2015 Chevy Tahoe, driven by 56-year-old Theresa Ann Fox of Ankeny, was in the right lane of I-29 southbound near the exit 1 overpass providing traffic control for the DOT Highway Repair crew. Fox was traveling slowly with the rear emergency lights activated and arrow stick for traffic to merge left upon approach. A 2018 Volvo Semi, driven by 34-year-old Makalim Rafkat of Hollywood, Florida, was in the right lane of I-29 southbound and failed to merge left and collided with the rear of the Tahoe, causing the Tahoe to leave the roadway to the right and roll, coming to rest on its wheels.
Theresa Ann Fox was transported to Grape Memorial Hospital by Hamburg Rescue with undisclosed injuries.
