Tri-Centers Peyton Pogge 5th a Girl’s 1A Cross Country Meet

(Fort Dodge) Tri-Center senior Peyton Pogge finished 5^th in the Class 1A  Girl’s State Cross Country Meet on Saturday in Fort Dodge. Courtney Sporrer of Logan-Magnolia was sixth, and Rylee Sloss of ACGC finished ninth overall.

Reece Duncan of St. Albert finished 16^th overall, and Grace Slater of Audubon finished 19^th.

In the team race, ACGC finished fifth with 163 points, AHSTW was 6^th, 180, Earlham 10^th,  226 points, and Logan-Magnolia finished 11^th with 245. Spots three through eight were heavily contested. The Chargers were just two points away from a team trophy and the Lady Vikes were 19 points out of 3rd.

Besides Sloss’s top ten finish, Jorja Hoover was 29^th in the team scoring, Kiersten Knobbe, 32^nd, Hayden Coffman, 35^th, Emmakay McLain 60^th, Kelsey Carlson, 95^th, and Alyson Embelton, finished in 102^nd place.

Julia Kock led AHSTW with a 22^nd place finish overall, in team scoring, Chloe Falkena, was 26^th, Jade Draman, 93^rd, Kailey Jones, 94^TH, Jordan Blotzer, 148^th, and Claire Denning finished 151^st.

Sporrer led the Panthers with her 4^th place finish in the team race, Mya Moss, 46^th, Greylin Hornbeck, 48^th, Mariah Nolting, 71^st, Kiera Hochstein, 76^th, Marissa Brenden, 86^th, and Eowyn Sieck, 91^st.
