(Fort Dodge) Tri-Center senior Peyton Pogge finished 5th in the Class 1A Girl’s State Cross Country Meet on Saturday in Fort Dodge. Courtney Sporrer of Logan-Magnolia was sixth, and Rylee Sloss of ACGC finished ninth overall.
Reece Duncan of St. Albert finished 16th overall, and Grace Slater of Audubon finished 19th.
In the team race, ACGC finished fifth with 163 points, AHSTW was 6th, 180, Earlham 10th, 226 points, and Logan-Magnolia finished 11th with 245. Spots three through eight were heavily contested. The Chargers were just two points away from a team trophy and the Lady Vikes were 19 points out of 3rd.
Besides Sloss’s top ten finish, Jorja Hoover was 29th in the team scoring, Kiersten Knobbe, 32nd, Hayden Coffman, 35th, Emmakay McLain 60th, Kelsey Carlson, 95th, and Alyson Embelton, finished in 102nd place.
Julia Kock led AHSTW with a 22nd place finish overall, in team scoring, Chloe Falkena, was 26th, Jade Draman, 93rd, Kailey Jones, 94TH, Jordan Blotzer, 148th, and Claire Denning finished 151st.
Sporrer led the Panthers with her 4th place finish in the team race, Mya Moss, 46th, Greylin Hornbeck, 48th, Mariah Nolting, 71st, Kiera Hochstein, 76th, Marissa Brenden, 86th, and Eowyn Sieck, 91st.
