(Winneshiek County) One person was injured in a three-vehicle chain-reaction accident involving a school bus Friday afternoon in Winneshiek County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Highway 52 at approximately 3:25 p.m.
According to the accident report, a southbound 2020 International LT625 semi driven by 72-year-old Allen Bodensteiner of Postville rear-ended a 2017 Ford Escape driven by 71-year-old Deborah Rasmussen of Calmar. The impact caused the Ford to strike the rear of a Decorah Community School District bus that was stopped with its lights flashing.
57-year-old Brian Ehrie of Decorah was driving the bus, which was carrying 19 children ages 7 and 14.
Winneshiek County Ambulance transported Rasmussen to Winneshiek Medical Center for treatment.
