(Waverly, IA) — Nodaway Valley Boys Cross Country competed at the Steve Johnson Invitational hosted by Wartburg — a combined college and high school meet.
The Wolverines were the smallest school in the field and finished 25th out of 39 teams. There were 351 total runners and Gabe Winkelmann finished in 90th place at 17:05.2. Luke Kading ran a personal best time of 17:32.2 and finished 126th. Haden Colton also ran a personal best of 18:10.6 and finished 189th. Everett Ehler was the third runner with a personal best of 18:33.4 and was 222nd.
Josh Nelson was 166th (17:54.6); Paul Kading 196th (18:14.3) and Jack Berg 231st (18:41.5).
Keegan Decker of Iowa City Liberty was the winner at 15:06.8 — he currently is the fastest in the state at 14:40.10. Liberty won the team title with 84 points ahead of Wayzata, Minnesota with 87 points
