(Oakland, IA) — Riverside football has won four in a row and has won their last two games by a combined score of 100 to 6. The rest of the state has noticed — Riverside is in the Radio Iowa Top Ten at #8 this week and the Iowa High School Activities Association ranked them #6 in Class A. Coaches typically like to ignore rankings in the middle of the season and Head Coach Tyler Johannsen is no exception
At the beginning of the season, there was some uncertainties on offense but Peyton Amdor solved one question at quarterback
Cole Jeppesen was a known commodity and he has done everything that has been asked of him at wideout and making plays in special teams. Then there is Sophomore Mason Houser who right now is only 25 yards away from 1,000 for the season. Johannsen says it is not a surprise to him and his coaching staff what Houser has done
Riverside has a tough non district game this Friday hosting #5 St. Albert.
