(Avoca, IA) — From AHSTW High School: “Due to the excessive rainfall over the past two weeks, we have been closely monitoring our football field conditions and remained hopeful that they would improve enough for us to safely host tonight’s Homecoming game on our home field.
As of this morning, our home field conditions remain too wet to safely have tonight’s football game here. We are excited to still be able to have our Homecoming Game at an alternate location. Fortunately, tonight’s Homecoming football game will get to be played on the turf of the Lewis Central High School Stadium. Kickoff will remain at 7:00 PM. Our 2026 Homecoming Court, underclassmen attendants, flower girl, and crown bearer will be announced at 6:30 PM.
We hope all of our Viking fans will be able to make the trip to Lewis Central and help us create a home-game atmosphere for the Vikings’ Homecoming!
AHSTW fans should park in the West Lot on the Lewis Central campus. Additional information regarding options for student transportation, tickets, concessions, etc. will be shared as soon as possible.
The 2026 AHSTW Homecoming Parade will take place as scheduled beginning from the Fairgrounds at 2:30 PM.”
