(Greenfield, IA) — Nodaway Valley Volleyball will have a new Head Coach this season — Corinne Bond has taken over the program. She was just a first year teacher a year ago and the volleyball job came open but veteran coach Allison Kiburz bridged the gap and allowed Bond to learn for a season. Bond is a hometown girl in Greenfield and has always been interested in coaching and got her first opportunity while she was going to NW Missouri St.
Bond takes over a team that went 11-25 and loses 6 seniors but does return some talent. Junior Taylor Laughery had 61 kills last year with 12 aces and a strong 36 blocks. Bond says she gives Nodaway Valley a strong presence in the middle
Senior Addison Herr (Hair) brings experience on the outside; Junior Mattison Thompson and Senior Adelaide Livingston will rotate at setter. Senior Allie Cornelison (301 digs) leads the defense at Libero.
Overall Bond is just trying to sell fundamental volleyball to her team
Nodaway Valley opens their volleyball season this Saturday at the Colfax Mingo Tournament.
