(Avoca) Regional Water officials have announced that the boil advisory affecting the eastern portion of the system has been lifted, effective immediately. This includes all water customers in Exira. According to Regional Water, lab results received Friday morning confirm that all required water quality samples meet Iowa DNR standards. The system has now returned to Level GREEN, the lowest stage in its Emergency Water Conservation Plan. The advisory was originally issued on April 13 following a water main break that impacted service areas 4 and 7 and caused Tower 4 to drain. Repairs have since been completed, and normal operations have resumed. Customers seeking additional information can contact the Regional Water Office at 712-343-2413.
