(Lincoln, NE) — The Nebraska Cornhuskers are coming off a 37-10 loss to Penn State in what was supposed to be an evenly-matched contest, and it won’t get any easier for Nebraska as they host the Iowa Hawkeyes tomorrow morning. The teams couldn’t be any more familiar with each other going into their 15th match-up since 2011, and both teams will look for an important win in the competitive Big 10 to climb up the rankings before postseason. The Cornhuskers head into tomorrow 4-4 in the conference, and the Hawkeyes took a win over Michigan State last week to put them at 5-3. Nebraska Head Coach Matt Rhule is expecting different looks from the Iowa offense compared to Penn State last week:
Nebraska’s season has been plagued with injuries and will once again put the ball in freshman TJ Lateef’s hands in replacement of Dylan Raiola. Rhule says despite the team not being at it’s healthiest, he has always wanted to remain competitive:
Lateef will lead his offense against a tough Iowa defense, a unit that only two teams have been able to surpass three scores on this season. Rhule says his team will need to play at their best against the Hawkeyes:
Kickoff is set for 11:00 A.M. at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Audio courtesy of HuskerOnline on YouTube.
