(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved a $500 contribution to ISAC for an Amicus Brief presentation to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Iowa State Association of Counties has filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court, urging the justices to uphold local control over carbon pipeline projects. The association argues that counties should have the authority to regulate such projects through local ordinances—particularly when it comes to safety and zoning—rather than deferring that power to the federal government. ISAC has asked each county in the state to contribute at least $500.

The Supervisors then approved setting the date for two public hearings on zoning change requests.
A public hearing was set for December 2nd at 9:05 a.m. to consider an application for zoning change by Robert and Karen Davis from Suburban Rural to Agricultural.
