(Undated) Colder temperatures across much of the country, plus the potential for snow, are the big story today as we start the week.
“One hundred million people are going to see their temperatures dropping, absolutely falling off a cliff today,” said Meteorologist Moses Small. He says get ready.
It’s due to an area of low pressure moving down from Canada and into the eastern part of the country that started on Sunday. Cities in the Midwest are expected to experience temperatures in the 20-degree range today, while places like Atlanta, Dallas, and Nashville are forecasted to reach temperatures in the 30s. By Tuesday, record lows are possible across the southeastern United States.
A warmup is forecast for this area starting tomorrow with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the lower thirties. Wednesday’s high is projected at 57 degrees, Thursday at 62, Friday at 68, and Saturday at 67, before the high drops off to the upper 50s on Sunday.
