(Area) After more than two centuries of blending weather forecasts, folk wisdom, and a touch of wit, the Farmer’s Almanac has announced that the 2026 edition will be its last. The historic publication, a staple in countless homes for over 200 years, will close its chapter following the upcoming edition.
In a heartfelt message to its readers, the Almanac expressed deep gratitude for the loyal community that has grown up with its trusted guidance. From planting crops by moon phases to choosing the “best days” for fishing or even potty training, generations have turned to the Almanac’s unique blend of advice.
The Farmer’s Almanac encourages readers to carry on its traditions—plant peas when the daffodils bloom, heed the red sky at night, and share stories of how granddad always swore by its forecasts.
The Farmer’s Almanac was first published in 1818.
