(Atlantic) Mason Betts capped off the Atlantic boys’ Cross Country season with a strong effort at the state cross country meet in Fort Dodge last Friday. Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason on Atlantic Sports Saturday on KS 95.7 summarized the boys’ season. Similar to the girls’ squad, the boys’ team featured just two seniors.
As Coach Vargason mentioned, some of the runners coming out of the middle school program could make an impact on the team in the fall of 2026.
Meanwhile, Mason Betts finished 39th at the Class 3A Boys State Cross Country Meet. The sophomore ran the course in a time of 16:51.2 and finished his first-ever cross country season.
