(Atlantic, IA) — Riverside Boys Cross Country continues to impress, Mason Betts had a strong finish but it was Lincoln Pius X who dominated the meet at Nishna Hills Golf Course on Thursday night.
Lincoln had the top three finishers — Joe Majerus 1st (16:13.1); David Krier 2nd (13 seconds behind); and Lucas Schlautman 3rd. Haven Weers of Tri Center finished in 4th at 16:51.2 while Emmanuel Grass of Red Oak rounded out the top 5.
Jeffrey Gross of Harlan ran a strong race with a 7th place finish at 17:08.0. Erik Heslink was 33rd for the Cyclones.

Mason Betts of Atlantic got into the top ten with a 9th place finish at 17:11.4. Also for the Trojans, Kouper Kinney was 52nd; Anthony Akers 61st; Thomas Engler 71st; Preston Williams 72nd; Nolyn Kinney 88th; and D’Artagnan Hansen 104th. Betts had this to say after the race.

Riverside finished in 2nd place in the team standings with 73 points behind Lincoln with 26. Red Oak was 3rd and Atlantic was 10th. Brody Henderson led the Bulldogs in 8th place; Dawson Henderson was 10th; Owen Fenner 11th; Cruz Jacquez 19th; Eli Hudnall 25th; James McCready 38th and Colton Hering 85th.
Gabe Winkelman of Nodaway Valley finished in 23rd place.
