(Westside, IA) — The Ar-We-Va Rockets took a tough loss in Coon Rapids last week against the Crusaders, and will look to get back in the playoff conversation tonight hosting Griswold.
Both teams are in the competitive-as-ever 8-player District 9, where Audubon leads comfortably and the #2 spot is fought over by the rest. The Rockets are 2-3 going into tonight, with two of their losses coming from district foes Audubon and Coon Rapids-Bayard, and one coming from Boyer Valley to open up the season. Griswold lost to Exira-EHK last week 70-32 on the road, and they will make another trip to Ar-We-Va tonight. It won’t get much easier for either team after tonight, as both will face CAM in the coming weeks, the current runner-up in the district. Stoelk credits the Tigers’ depth and mobility at quarterback:
