(Neola) Tri-Center Head Coach Steve Peterson says everything was clicking for Tri-Center last Friday night in a 71-0 win over Red Oak.
The Trojans rushed for 226 yards and passed for another 272. Quarterback A.J. Harder was 9/17 passing for 216 yards and three touchdowns. Zach Nelson caught five passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns. Adan Goldapp carried the ball 12 times for 224 yards and scored three touchdowns.
The passing game has been solid. Harder is 96/158 for 1,435 yards and 13 touchdowns. Nelson has snagged 41 passes for 670 yards and seven touchdowns. Cale Witt has 31 catches for 527 yards and three touchdowns.
Next up for Tri-Center is Treynor. Coach Peterson says the Cardinals are an excellent football team, well-coached by Jeff Casey.
Peterson admits the Treynor defense poses challenges as well.
Ethan Hill is 66/103 passing for 793 yards and nine touchdowns. Jett Sornson has 83 carries for 580 yards and eight touchdowns.
Tri-Center enters the contest with a record of 2-3. Treynor is 4-1. The kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at Treynor.
