(Guthrie Center) — AC/GC hosted a cross country meet on Thursday and the Chargers Preston Kent ran home with the individual title on his home course. The Senior ran a time of 18:05.40 and finished ahead of Camden Morris of IKM Manning 26 seconds. Austin Rasmussen of Exira EHK finished 3rd (18:50.60) with Akeo Maynard of IKM Manning 4th and Nicholas Dahir of Tri Center in 5th (18:58.20). With two runners in the top 5, the Wolves won the boys team standings ahead of Perry 33-61.
Ty Nelson of AHSTW was 13th; Carson Tigges of West Central Valley 14th; Bladyn Wearmouth of Panorama 16th — 64 boys finished the race.
On the girls side, Lily Meyers of Perry won at 20:55.50 with Cadence Peterson of AC/GC in 2nd (22:58.10). Addison Junker of Lenox was 3rd; Brielle Kramer of Tri Center 4th and Jillian Budge of Tri Center 5th. With two runners in the top 5, the Trojans won the team title with 34 points ahead of Panorama with 60.
Ava Paulsen of AHSTW was 6th; Yana Lander of AHSTW 7th; Laicey Lutz of Panorama 10th; Dallas Morgan of West Central Valley 18th; Olivia Poldberg of Exira EHK 19th. 45 girls runners competed.
