(Audubon, IA) — Audubon made a statement last week with a 66-0 win over rival CAM. After their first four games, Audubon has put up 290 points for an average of 72.5 per game. The Wheelers are in enviable position for most football teams in that they have two quality quarterbacks that can play at a high level. Senior Carson Wessel was the starter last season but when he started the season with an injury, Sophomore Aiden Kjergaard got the nod and he has not given Head Coach Sean Birks any reason to give the job back to Wessel. Kjergaard has 442 yards rushing with 8 TD and ran for 101 yards against CAM including a 38 yard TD — he did have a 67 yard TD called back from a penalty. Birks says its a nice problem to have

Complimenting Wessel and Kjergaard in the backfield is Sophomore Mason Kasperbauer who ran for 119 yards on 7 carries for 3 TD against the Cougars — none of his runs went for less than 10 yards. Birks says that Kasperbauer has a great combination — speed and vision
