Wanda Eaglen, 67, of Greenfield, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenfield, Iowa. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church. Pastor Dr. Keith Schweitzer will officiate the service. The family will greet friends at the church on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the Wanda Eaglen Memorial Fund to be established by the family.
Wanda Ann Eaglen was born on February 17, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Barbara May (Sandelin) Swackhammer. She passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Iowa, at the age of 67.
Wanda grew up in Des Moines and attended Lincoln High School. After high school, she worked at a bank as a fraud analyst. On December 31, 2000 she was united in marriage to George Eaglen JR in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenfield. She enjoyed fishing, going to the races, casinos, and being with her family and friends. Especially, her son and grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and her best friend, Jean Miller.
She is survived by her husband, George Eaglen, Jr. of Greenfield; son, George Eaglen III (Shelby) of Stuart; two grandchildren, Hayden and Nevaeh Eaglen; three bonus grandchildren, Brooklynn, Briarlynn and Boone; sister, Julie Tulley and husband Robert of Yuma, Arizona; two brothers, Edward (Dutch) Swackhamer of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Danny Swackhamer and wife Tara of Des Moines; other relatives and friends.
