(Le Mars) A Struble, Iowa, teen died in a two-vehicle crash in Plymouth County on Saturday.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened in the 34000 block of C-12. Authorities identified the victim as 19-year-old Sarah Van Ostrand of Struble, Iowa.
Van Ostrand was driving a 2003 GMC Sonoma pickup westbound on C-12, and crossed the centerline, and collided head-on with an eastbound 2015 Kenworth T800 semi preparing to turn into the Dykstra Dairy.
Sarah Van Ostrand died at the scene. Rexwinkle Funeral Home transported Van Ostrand to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
