(Glenwood, Iowa) Construction workers are being hailed as heroes for saving a Glenwood family from a house fire.
City Fire Chief Matt Gray says a home caught fire around 12:30 on Monday afternoon near the 200 block of South Vine Street. Three construction workers reportedly helped two women and two children escape from the home, as a boy had to be caught after jumping out a second-story window. Chief Gray identified the men as John Lewis, Gabe Record, and Damian Pond.
All three workers had to be treated at the hospital, with one suffering second-degree burns. Chief Gray called the men heroes for saving the family in a situation that could have resulted in casualties.
