(Wright County) One person died and another suffered injuries in a UTV crash in Wright County.
The Iowa State Patrol reports that the accident occurred early Saturday morning along the Boone River, near Highway 3, in Goldfield. A passenger identified as 20-year-old McKenna Mae Woodbeck, of Huxley, Iowa, died in the crash. Levi Edward Rasmussen, the 21-year-old driver was injured in the accident.
According to the report, the John Deere Gator driven by 21-year-old Levi Edward Rasmussen, of Goldfield, Iowa, was traveling near the Boone River near Highway 3 when the UTV got too close to the river, dropped off a significant riverbank, and entered the river. Both Rasmussen, and Woodbeck, were ejected from the vehicle. Woodbeck became trapped underneath the Gator, causing a fatal injury.
