(Guthrie Co.) Five teenagers were injured in a rollover accident in Guthrie County Monday evening.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 16-year-old male from Guthrie Center was driving a 2003 Chevrolet K1500 Tahoe south on Locust Avenue, a Level B road, at around 5:11 p.m. when he lost control and overcorrected. The Tahoe struck a tree stump, overturned, and rolled into the east ditch.
A 16-year-old female and a 16-year-old male, both from Adair, were transported to Guthrie County Hospital by Panora EMS. Two other 16-year-old males—one from Casey and one from Guthrie Center—and a 16-year-old female from Casey sustained suspected minor injuries but were not transported to the hospital, according to the report.
The driver, who was not injured, was cited for Reckless Driving.
