(Red Oak) U.S. Senator Joni Ernst has officially announced that she will not seek reelection in 2026.
Joni Ernst, a native of Red Oak, Iowa, was elected to the United States Senate in 2014. She is the first woman to serve in federal elected office from the state of Iowa and the first female combat veteran to serve in the United States Senate.
