(Guthrie Center, IA) — It was a short meeting for the Guthrie County Supervisors on Tuesday but they did talk about the fight against opioids.
Maggie Armstrong, the Guthrie County Chair recently attended a conference with other county representatives and they talked about the state of Iowa and the counties receiving federal funds to combat the opioid problem that is still affecting the state
Armstrong says that the state gets the lion’s share of the funds but she suggested that there is a big way that the counties can do better than the state
Armstrong says it was good to have input and hopes the counties will receive funds to continue the fight against opioids in the future.
