(Glenwood) — Lewis Central secured the team championship at the Glenwood Boys Invitational on Saturday morning, placing three runners in the top 15 and finishing with 70 points. Evan Lillie and Kevin Coots led the Titans with a dominant one-two finish. Joey Mazzella added an 11th-place performance, while Marcus Greenwood placed 26th, Beran Stroup 30th, and Carter Lobaugh 34th to round out the team’s scoring.
Red Oak followed closely behind in second place with 78 points. Emmanuel Grass paced the Tigers with a third-place finish. Hayden Heitbrink came in 5th, followed by Osiel Pedersen (18th), Casey Johnson (23rd), Bryce Williams (29th), and Manuel DeLeon (41st).
Kuemper Catholic took third with 88 points, bolstered by three runners in the top 20. Dayton Wiederien led the Knights with a fourth-place finish, supported by Fletch Badding in 9th and Thomas Pottebaum in 20th. Oliver Vonnahme (27th) and Wyatt Wunschel (28th) rounded out the top five for Kuemper.
Harlan finished sixth overall with 144 points. Jeffrey Gross led the way in 6th place, followed by Erik Heslink (10th), Brogan Schechinger (25th), Nathan Sandquist (42nd), Kobe Kimmen (68th), and Kirk Hol (95th).
Atlantic placed seventh with 163 points. Mason Betts was the Trojans’ top finisher, placing 15th. He was followed by Thomas Engler (32nd), Kouper Kinney (35th), Anthony Akers (37th), D’Artagnan Hansen (44th), and Caleb Andersen (46th).
