(Undated) A number of universities across the nation have been dealing with cases of shooting hoaxes. Active shooter alerts have been sent out to students at schools like the University of Arkansas, where Professor Michael Cummings and many others were left shaken up by the chaos on campus Monday.

University of Colorado Boulder, Iowa State University, and Kansas State University have also been among the growing list of colleges impacted just this week. Police have stated that most cases were hoaxes, where someone used a temporary phone number and apps to disguise their voice and cause panic.
There’s been no evidence of a gunman or violence of any sort on these campuses after the calls were made. The FBI stated that it was aware of the incidents and is assisting in the investigations.
