(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing at their regular meeting on Tuesday on a proposed fiscal year 2025/2026 budget amendment.
The supervisors approved the resolution to amend the budget for expenditures totaling $437,131.00. The amendment included Courthouse, $300,000, non-departmental, $135,000, Treasurer, $44,000, and Auditor, $2,000. 00.
County Auditor Jill Ozuna mentioned an additional $22,000 for an accounting adjustment.
The supervisors also approved an abatement of taxes for the County Farm for $5,122.00. The Board approved the application for suspension of Taxes per Iowa Code for a parcel of property, and approved claims of $1,450,663.31.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, at 9:00 a.m.
