(Griswold, IA) — Every high school coach goes through it every season — replacing graduating seniors but Head Coach Jody Rossell has a bigger task in front of her — she has to replace 9 Seniors off last season’s 17-16 team.
Yet, Rossell is excited about her team and the talent she has coming into the new campaign
Offensively, Gabbie Greiman (287 kills), Marissa Askeland (165 kills) and R’Nya Kirchhoff (155 kills) are gone so Rossell will turn to a new group to pound the kills
The setter position is completely up in the air — Rossell actually just pulled 5 girls out of the gym and has tried them at the spot. The libero position is also up the air — Rossell will learn more after their three scrimmages. Rossell likes her talent but just does not know where the pieces of the puzzle fit yet
Griswold opens their volleyball season on Tuesday, August 26 hosting Southwest Valley.
