(Lewis) David J. Raymond won a special election Tuesday for an at-large seat on the Lewis City Council, defeating Russel Miller 55 to 47.
The seat was vacated earlier this year when former council member Chris Jahnke assumed the role of mayor on April 29. Raymond’s term will be temporary, lasting only until the end of the year.
Voters will head back to the polls on November 4 for the regular election to fill the same council seat. The winner of that race will begin a new term in 2026.
