(Elk Horn, IA) — It was a big Iowa State Fair for the Audubon FFA — Carson and Macey Bauer won awards for their cows; Lane Elmquist and Leyton Elmquist won for their hogs; and recent Audubon graduate Brylie Andersen won for her goat.
Andersen won the Grand Champion FFA award in the Commercial Breeding Doe category for her goat “Juicy.” Andersen has been showing animals first at Exira EHK and the last two years going to Audubon but has never gotten a bigger award than this at the State Fair. She says there a couple of things that stood out about Juicy
Andersen says you establish a lot of strong bonds while exhibiting at the Iowa State Fair
It has been a successful State Fair for Audubon FFA with two Grand Champion awards among their blue ribbon haul this year and Andersen says it just goes to work ethic
This fall, Andersen will be attending South Dakota State University and major in Ag Communications.
