(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors has taken steps in the financing of the county’s upcoming urban renewal project.
During their regular meeting, the board approved a resolution appointing the paying agent, bond registrar, and transfer agent agreement and authorized the execution of that agreement for the county’s $5,000,000 General Obligation Urban Renewal Bonds, Series 2025.

The board also approved a resolution authorizing and providing for the issuance of the bonds, as well as levying a tax to ensure repayment. In addition, supervisors approved both the tax exemption certificate and the continuing disclosure certificate.
The bonds will fund essential urban renewal projects under the county’s Northwest Wind Farm Urban Renewal Plan, including shoulder widening on N51, as well as bridge and culvert replacements.
The Supervisors then approved the purchase of a new pickup for the Engineer’s Office, the signing of the right-of-way contract for the N35 Walnut culvert project, and the signing of the front page of the project plans.
