(Oakland, IA) — Two wins in 2022, four wins in 2023 and last year Riverside went 7-3. If they keep this pace up, the Bulldogs could see a trip to the Dome in 2025. Head Coach Darrell Frain has talent returning to do it — All State Running Back Jaxon Gordon is back for his senior season after falling 68 rushing yards short of 2,000 last year. Senior Landyn Schoenrock is back at quarterback. Frain does say he has spots open on the defensive side which needs to be sorted out
Riverside is in Class A District Seven this year with AC/GC, AHSTW, Central Decatur, Mount Ayr, Nodaway Valley and Southwest Valley. Frain says they all like to run the football so his boys better be ready
Frain likes his numbers and even though the team just put on the pads yesterday, he has seen a lot of progress in practice this week
Riverside will scrimmage at Clarinda on Friday, August 22 and opens the season Friday August 29 hosting Treynor.
