(Guthrie Center, IA) — Guthrie County is in the black — County Auditor Dani Fink made a regular report at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting and the county had more revenues come in than expected and less expenses than expected.
For Fiscal Year 2025, the total revenues budgeted were $24,300, 316 while the actual revenues collected were $25,296,458. That is a surplus of about $969,000. Expenses were also down for Guthrie County — budgeted expenses were $27,117,457 while actual expenses were $24,014,200 which means they was $3.1 million less than budgeted. Fink says one area stood out more than others — in Capital projects, the supervisors budgeted for $1.1 million but only spent $164,000. Board Chair Maggie Armstrong says that will need to be addressed
