(Greenfield, IA) — Nodaway Valley’s softball team had high hopes for a strong 2025 but the Wolverines finished just 5-13 in the tough Pride of Iowa Conference. Co Head Coach Ryan Zenor says the final result did not meet their expectations
The offense was inconsistent but generally was solid — Emma Boswell led the way hitting .395, 4, 14; Izzy Eisbach hit .333; Lea Stonebraker batted .295. All are juniors and will return to provide leadership next season. The Wolverines have a talented group of freshmen like Taylor Laughery, Mattison Thompson and Ella Boswell so Zenor says there is more on the way from junior high
Pitching will be key for Nodaway Valley — Freshman Ella Boswell threw the majority of innings in 2025 and gave up 138 hits in just 93 innings with an ERA of 8.05. Zenor says she needs to improve and she needs help and help is on the way
Nodaway Valley had one senior this year — Carter Osbourne who played third base and catcher.
