(Carroll County) Two people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Carroll County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Tuesday at around 9:18 p.m. on Highway 141, west of Olympic Avenue. Authorities identified the injured drivers as 34-year-old Joel Maloney, of Coon Rapids, and 26-year-old Haeleigh Busse, of Guthrie Center.
According to the report, Maloney was driving a 2007 Silverado pickup eastbound on Highway 141 west of Olympic Avenue, crossed into the westbound lane, and collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota Camry, driven by Busse. Busse was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Maloney was airlifted to Methodist hospital in Des Moines, with what is described as serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
