(Cass Co) Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken provided a report to the Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning.
Wolken said work on N28 between Highway 83 and Highway 92 is 99-percent complete. He said they just have to install rumble strips and go through a punch list of final items.
Wolken said work on Bridge #269 by the landfill is ongoing, and they are nearing the point where decking will begin. He added that contracts have been signed for two other bridges—Bridge #73 southeast of Griswold, and Bridge #132 south of Massena, and a pre-construction meeting will be requested.
Wolken also noted that the south six miles of N28 south of Highway 92 was in the DOT letting today for resurfacing. And, crews are doing patching work on G35.
In other activity, the Supervisors also received another report from Environmental Health Director Jotham Arber regarding radon mitigation, and the Supervisors approved retaining Ahlers & Cooney attorneys as bond counsel.
