(Des Moines, IA) — Organized retail theft is big business all across the country. Iowa U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says people target stealing high-value items from stores, and re-sell them at a profit.
Grassley is co-sponsoring a bill that would help police target the organized retail thefts. He said organized retail thefts have caused billions of dollars in losses in Iowa alone.
