(Carroll Co) Two people were killed and one other was injured in a three-vehicle accident in Carroll County Friday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 11:19 a.m. at Highway 71 and 120th Street. 79-year-old Jack Parks Brown, of Breda, was driving a 2023 Toyota RAV4 eastbound on 120th Street and failed to stop at the stop sign. A southbound 2022 Chevy Equinox, driven by 79-year-old Jeanette Mary Bolster of Lake City, struck the RAV4 in the intersection. The RAV4 was then struck by a northbound 2025 Freightliner Semi, driven by 47-year-old Tyler Jon Ward of Ankeny.
Jack Parks Brown was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Jeanette Mary Bolster was transported to St Anthony Hospital by Carroll EMS with serious injuries. Jeanette’s passenger, 82-year-old Francis Norbert Bolster of Lake City, was pronounced deceased on scene.
