(Undated) — Pheasant Hunting season is well underway, although it may be tough to top last year’s big numbers.
Todd Bogunshutts, with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, says numbers have dipped some since the season opener. Iowa is typically one of the top pheasant hunting states. Last year was the best season since 2007. Nearly 80-thousand hunters took nearly 600-thousand roosters. Pheasant hunting last year had an estimated 180-million-dollar economic impact.
