Lee Williamson was born to Clare and Violet Williamson on July 21, 1953. He was raised in Greenfield, Iowa, and attended Greenfield public schools, graduating in 1971. Lee attended the University of South Dakota for two years but later pursued a career as an Ironworker with Local 67 out of Des Moines. After several years, Lee returned to Greenfield and opened a welding shop, where he worked until his retirement.
In 1998, Lee met the love of his life, Julie Woollums. He enjoyed various activities in and around Greenfield, including golf, fishing, and hunting. He was a devoted dog owner. He led a rich life with his family and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Clare and Violet Williamson, brother Craig Williamson, and niece Jessica Roberts. He is survived by Julie Woollums, sister Ann Williamson, children Travis Williamson, Jamie Woollums (Justin Fertig), Becky Woollums, and Cody Woollums (Ami), grandchildren Colton, Cameron (Chaiya), Courtney (Dalton), Haylee, Hannah, Shannon, Drake, McKayla, Scotty, & Alayna. Great grandchildren; Zola, DeMarcus, Avery, Noelle, Maddy & Haviliah. Nieces and nephews Traci Lust, Brook Adams, Clinton Williamson, Carolyn Roberts, and Stephanie Watson. Many other relatives and friends.
