(Atlantic) We are nearing the halfway point in the season, and the Atlantic softball team is rated 13th in Class 3A going into a Hawkeye Ten Conference game against Lewis Central at Atlantic tonight. The Titans ended a five-game skid with a 4-2 win over Denison-Schleswig on Tuesday night.
The Trojans are 11-5 and enter tonight’s game following a 10-0 win over Harlan in five innings on Tuesday. Atlantic Coach Terry Hinzmann believes the right players are now playing in the correct positions.
The Trojans are hitting .344 on the season, and several players are either leading 3A or in the top five in some categories.
Despite Lewis Central’s Sub-500 record, the Titans have put up some solid numbers. The Titans are hitting .302 and have solid pitching with Cami Damgaard (2.39 ERA) and Emerson Coziahr (2.60 ERA).
