(Iowa City, IA) – The Iowa Hawkeyes continue to add quarterbacks to the roster this offseason. Jackson Stratton has transferred from Colorado State to Iowa after spending two seasons as a Ram.
Stratton did not see the field in 2023, only seeing some action in the 2022 season. In that season, he went 4-17 for 78 total yards with one touchdown and an interception. The California native was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was listed as a redshirt freshman last season. He will be coming to Iowa City with three years of eligibility remaining.
The incoming sophomore will be a walk-on for Iowa. Iowa City now has a team with two top quarterbacks, Sullivan and McNamara, fighting for the starting spot on the roster. Iowa has also added Marco Lainez to the quarterback roster as a scholarship quarterback.
Iowa is looking to turn around an offense that ranked last in the nation in total offense, 128th in passing offense, and averaged 133.8 yards per game.
