(Atlantic) On Monday, the Shenandoah Boys’ Tennis team kept their unblemished season alive, winning the Hawkeye Ten Conference Tournament with 27 points. The Mustangs edged Kuemper by one point for the crown. Shenandoah is undefeated in dual play and topped the field in two tournaments, both at Atlantic.
Andrew Lawrence finished second in number-one singles, and Teagan Brunk finished third in two singles. Lucas Sun and Seth Zwickel teamed up to finish runner-up in number-one doubles, and two freshmen, Luke Daoust and Ryan Lawrence, finished second in number-two doubles, leading Shenandoah to the title.
Kuemper finished second with 26 points. Max Riencke and Carter Running earned the title at number two doubles, Josh Langel and Jake Hausman finished third at one doubles, Hans Kraus earned runner-up honors at number two singles, and Mason Rieck finished fourth at one singles.
Glenwood finished third with 24 points. Will Getter led the Rams with the title at number two singles, Kayden Anderson finished third in number-one singles, Nolan Allmon and Brennan Anderson finished third at two doubles, and Brody Taylor and Liam Hays fifth at the number one doubles.
Atlantic finished fourth in the tourney with 16 points. Nolan Waters finished fourth at number two singles, Kinnick Juhl sixth in number one singles, Nick Bennett and Gradyn O’Hara grabbed fourth place in number two doubles, and Conner Johnson and Reid Woodward teamed up for a sixth-place finish at number one doubles.
Christian Jensen won the number one singles title, and Noah Narmi and Cole Pekny topped the field in number one doubles.
