(Buffalo, NY) – The Iowa Cubs were able to play in a tight defensive game against the Buffalo Bisons, falling 2-0 as the offense just couldn’t get rolling. This brings the Cubbies down to third in the West and 15-11 overall.
If you were looking for a tight pitching matchup, then this was the game for you. There were no home runs featured in the game and all the runs were scored on singles. Rafael Lantigua singled to score the first run for Buffalo while also scoring the second run for the Bisons with another single to take the victory.
Alongside the two hits and two RBIs to lead the Bisons from Rafael Lantigua, Buffalo also featured Jiminez, Palmegiani, Henry, and Eden had two hits in the game. For the Cubs, Darius Hill was able to knock two hits while Cassie, Peralta, Slaughter, and Murray Jr. all had two hits.
Earning the loss for the Cubbies was Thomas Pannone who pitched in five innings while allowing eight hits and had one earned run. With the win on the day was Andrew Bash who pitched in five innings while allowing three hits and earned two walks. Hagen Danner earned the save with one inning pitched and had two strikeouts.
